After you change that setting, do you have to restart a service or anything?

The setting should take effect right away.
Another way to change the setting is to configure the tools from any tool with a File menu. All of the Collection tools should have a file menu and then a Configure Tools option inside the file menu. From there you can just check or un-check the check for updates check box.

New Post: SCCM 2012 RCT not working
Hi,
I have installed the RCT as an admin, and run the sccm 2012 console as normal and as an admin and nothing happens, there is a small screen flash only.
I have set powershell 3 x86 executionpolicy to be unrestricted.
The registry hive for powershell has admin full rights.
The file path for the extension has been unblocked in powershell.
If I run powershell 3 x86 as an admin then launch the SCCM 2012 console from there, it all works fine.
Can you please advise how I can resolve this?
Thanks in advance.

New Post: Remote Control as a Right Click tool in Queries.
Is there a way to have Right Click tools in query results and to possibly have a right Click tool for remote control?
I have the issue and I bet others do too where in any query with none system resource item columns the remote control is disabled in the right click then start option.

New Post: Clear Client Cache and SCCM 2012 R2
Just wondering if anyone has had issues with clearing client cache on either a collection or an individual computer. I used to use this extensively but since we upgraded to R2 it doesn't seem to be working anymore. I'm running the latest 2.1 version.

Commented Unassigned: Client Tools>Show Collections not working [4]
Running PS Right-click tools 1.4.1, when I try to select a machine object and go to Client Tools> Show Collections, the window that pops up has no information.
Comments: Iam also having the same issue where Client Tools> Show Collections, the window that pops up has no information. Can you clear my below doubts: • Is something related to security scope settings on administrative user rights ? o Where if we select Only the instances of objects that are assigned to the specified security scopes and collections If we add All windows server systems + Default security scope It’s not Working(Client Tools> Show Collections the window that pops up has no information) If we add All collections ( means all systems + All users and user Groups)+ Default scope It’s working fine (Client Tools> Show Collections the window that pops up has the information) But I don’t want permissions on All systems and why it’s not working if add limited collection instead all systems.? • Even I have tired with new version of Now Micro Right Click Tools 2.1 and facing the same problem. Can you please help me out of this issue. Regards, Swathi.

New Post: Right click tools not working at all
I was having the same problem with the new Now Micro Right Click Tools. I ran Process Monitor and found that the vbs scripts that launch powershell were making their way through each directory in the PATH variable, and ultimately settling on my Service Manager install directory because it contains a folder named Powershell.
I think there are two options - either modify the Local Machine PATH, placing C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowershell\v1.0 near the beginning, or simply modify the vbs scripts to include the full path to powershell.exe (C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe).
Editing the PATH is probably the better option so you ensure you don't have this problem with other scripts.

Commented Unassigned: "Error launching Powershell Script" [9]
Hello, I've installed .Net 4.5, Powershell 3.0 and then right click tools 2.0. I see the right click menu, however, upon launching action, I get "Error launching Powershell Script". Anyone have a workaround or solution???
Comments: Same issue. I had the old version of right click tools and everything was fine. I installed this version and I keep getting "Error launching Powershell script" with anything I select in the menu. I have .Net 4.5.2 and PowerShell 4.0 installed. This is on a Win 7 x64 OS. I ran Get-ChildItem "C:\Program Files (x86)\Now Micro\Right Click Tools" | Unblock-File with no luck. I'll keep working on it. I'm sure it's something I have overlooked. Just aggravating that it was working and I messed with it by installing a newer version. Thanks,

Created Unassigned: PSExec missing error [11]
When I launch the interactive command prompt I get an error that PSExec is not found. I have the Sysinternals Suite installed on my system, so I'm wondering where the right click tools are looking for the PSExec.exe file.
Where should I put the psexec.exe file?
Thanks.

command are not fully implemented because the user is not SCCM full rights, but there is another account with full rights.
